The future of Europe looks very daunting for some, proposed unified armed forces, the single currency, a single law, and single constitution. What are your opinions on them? Do you want Europe to become closer to a point where the armed forces are unified fully or partly and there is a single European president with regional ministers that run each of the countries? Or would your country to remain as it is with no more powers going to Brussels, or do you want to see your country being pulled out of the EU all together?

edit: Bloody forums, sorry.

I think it is inevitable, if we want to be a part of the future. If not we will be left behind.

Don't jump rashly into agreeing with everything Europe proposes though.

I'm afraid the EU is on the brink of collapse. The rejection of the Constitution will just show how crapping in their pants people are about their nationstates who can't do anything alone, and won't team up with others. (meaning, THE PEOPLE IS STUPID)

It is that future, but not the way it is beeing done now, the Eu is corrupt as hell, it is absolutely undemocratic, and you can see that clearly in the way all the new laws and shit is beeing introduced. They way it going now, the US is more democratic and less corrupt than the EU. Simply put, it is inevitable, but forcing it like it is forced upon us now, just benefits corrupt polititions and corporations.

Huh...? Can you name some examples, Grey Fox?

Who has rejected the law? I heard that France might do, but nothing has happened yet, has it?

I've talked to Mr. Titor about it.

If anyone rejects it, it'll probably be the British.

Anyone in all of the countries, I think people are really misinformed on what the constitution actually does.

The referendum mearly reflects how bitter the people are feeling.

Well kirovman mentioned one thing, but there is also that the peopel in the EU are not allowed to vote weather Turkij, atleast we here in Holland didn't, same thing with the euro, the EU parliment has no power over the EU commisison, and control by the people over the government is necesarry. Furthermore it is really hard because of the languadge barriers, and the beaurocracy is incredible. Juts google it and you'll find out more.

i don't know much about this, but i am against it

think of the difference in cultures

but i think there are trying to get more powere by uniting, so they can challange the US

on the other hand, maybe it's a good thing

I think theres probably too much disparity between all the peoples of Europe to ever see them all united, but I'd guess we're going to see some of the general areas withing Europe band together at some point.

The sole purpose of the Constitution is to join all the tons of treaties into one. It's a good thing, and the Francius are voting to **** Chirac who is being a naughty guy.
