What did everyone think?

I thought it was pretty cool, much better than Bruce Almighty, wasn't too impressed with that myself.

Funny until he put on the robe, I think it cramped his style, sort of. I think Bruce Almighty was way funnier, though.

Bleh. I'll give it a 6/10. Few laughs, not much. I prefer Jim Carrey.

It looked crap, Bruce Almighty kicks it 10 times up the arse.

Haven't seen it, but I've been told its a $200 million comedy, thats not even a comedy.

It's not an amazing film but it is certainly good enough to keep me entertained for the entire movie. Couldn't help cringeing at the 'dance' scenes throughout the film though :|

Especially the last one where Morgon Freeman is doing it aswell...AWKWARD!

It's typical Hollywood fare, dumb, safe comedy that doesn't really push any boundries and tries not to offend anyone. It's even got the whole family thing tied in with it, euck. It's OK if you're looking for a few cheap laughs but beyond that not really worth seeing.

Anyone with me in thinking that Bruce Almighty did not need a sequel, or even a spin-off? It wasn't a bad movie, but it's just... totally unwarranted. I doubt many people even remember his character from that film, for that matter.

But, gotta milk something, I guess.

Agreed.

He had that one scene with the gibberish which was pretty funny (the first few times you see it, at least). That, plus Steve Carell's recent boom (The Office, 40 Year Old Virgin etc) is probably why the film was made.

Bruce Almighty was better, this movie was far too popcorn and douchy for my tastes

QFT.

The gibberish was pretty funny, but not enough to make a whole movie out of (though they may have tried - ZING).

And frankly, I liked Steve Carell way better before his recent movie boom. Not to mention the Office.

Which I will, because it sucked.
