Well i finaly got round to buying eve online but im kinda having a problem with it. I got it from my local game for £5 new. They had a deal going on with the saver cards so it was only £5. So ne ways i get one month free with the game using the cd code which comes with it. Well basicly i carnt find the CD key, weather its not there because they didnt put it in or weather im just being a n00b and cant find it its pritty annoying.

I got with the game the eve box, the user manual and the CD. Does any one out there have the game and if so any chance of telling me where the CD key is or if im just missing it.

It has a huge Game Universe, it even has it's own "eveternet"

I dont need to download it because i bought it. Once I installed it took me to the website and told me to put in the CD key. Im just saying i cant find the CD key. Was wonding if any one knew where it was.

Here you can download the latest full version of the EVE Online Game Client. If you don’t already own an EVE account (which is required to enter the world of EVE Online) you can create one here with 30 days of game time included.

that's what i meant. you can get the cd key from there by creating an account. you might need to download it though, not sure.


EDIT: i think i'm having a blonde day...nevermind, i dunno where the cd key is, i downloaded my version. :rolling:

Hmm, I downloaded EVE as Dedalus did aswell. Have you got a reply from them yet, fishy?

hehe seems alot of effot over nothing. TBH im probly just being abit of a n00b about it and its probly stairing me in the face as we speek. Its not a problem, if i am missing a bit i will just go up to the shop and get me a new copy. its just anoying because it looks really cool and its sitting right infrount of me waiting to be played.

ask someone else to look over all the paperwork to see if they can find it. a fresh mind might be some help as you might be simply skipping over things. try it.

Im thinking i might be missing some of the paper work hopfly the EVE staff will shead some light on the matter.

Its not even as if i can go on the fourms and find out. I have to register to post and search for stuff :/

Well i just got a reply:

"Hi Martyn,

The CDkey should be located inside the box itself, on a sticker, but not inside the manual. If there's no CDkey inside the box (usually below the CD), please take a picture of the inside of the box aswell as the receipt and send us.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again. We'll do all we can to help."

Damn annoying

I think what happend was, i picked up the box off the shelf and they had a scealed packet with the game in. He opend it and stuck the game an manual in the box. Im guessing the CD key is still in the packet :S

that's unlucky. are you going to take the photo and such or you gonna ring the shop up? they should understand, and if they don't just get a refund and download it, much easier.
