Has anyone returned to Eve Online since the planetary interaction update?
I'm sure many of you played it a year back or so.
I've only just started playing 2 weeks ago, so I'm still a total noob.
I was gutted that I never tried it earlier! I was put off by people saying it's too complex or boring or whatever, but I find it very indepth and the universe appeals to a sci-fi nerd like myself.

I tried it but it wasn't my cup of tea. Required a hefty investment to become be on par with the complexities of the game as it is and I still can't get in to the game on its own. I've never managed to join a corp. I got closest last time I Tried, but then I found out the process wasn't all that easy so I gave up on it and the game. I just don't have the will or the time to deal with a game like Eve.

I can't even be assed to get back into EVE. While it was fun, it got old fast. *This coming from someone who played for over a year, then spent the next few months using in game money to pay for his months to research skill points....*

Nah, new corp this time. Old corp's CEO had some RL issues and couldn't stay active in Eve. 45-man rrep shield fleet for some pos defense was pretty awesome. 32ish drakes 6 basilisks 2 hurricanes and some carriers ready in the next system if things got hairy.

Not played eve for a wile but from what I hear your going to make a lot more money plexing as planet stuff is pretty naff. All it did was kill fuel markets.

So I've been out of game for a couple of days and it's been pissing me off. I purchased my prepaid visa card to renew as usual, but this time, CCP (or maybe visa) are being dickwads and aren't accepting payments, from either the card or paypal. I tried getting a different kind of card. But, no luck. I've got no clue what the hell is going on with my finances at the moment. One of the cards worked on steam. But not with CCP. Now I'm just waiting for CCP to get back about my petition.

Just got back into EVE again after about 5 years.

Its all still daunting unless you have a goal in mind.

Understandable why it has barely half a million players (I believe).

My character has like 55mil skill points. Can fly t2 fitted battle ships for both amarr and gallent both with bs5.. also an archon sitting out in the middle of nowhere. Poor little maktor all cold and lonely.

I'm sitting here, doing level 4s with my main account while I wait for the alt to get into a battleship. I think it should only take another month or so. But I don't know what to train next on the main account.

Battle ships are hard to fly. I mean, getting battle ship 4 only takes a week but to really fly it good you need a lot of high level skills

All I've been training recently are capacitor skills, gunnery support skills and a couple mechanic skills. Getting it into a cap-boosted, beam Armageddon should be a cinch compared to getting the main account into a maelstrom.

You really want, large weapons 5, bs5, advanced weapon upgrades 5, engineering 5, mechanic 5 and many more :S and of corse if your using a geddon you want T2 heavy drones! Drone interfacing 5...

This is why I say they are hard to fly lol

Why cap boosted? Dont cap boost for PVE

Im currently aiming for an Anathema, covert ops ship to be used for scanning systems behind enemy lines, and Ive just downloaded EveMon, a system that gives you a skills plan to follow which tells you what to learn, when to learn it, how long it will take to complete the plan etc, and automatically adds the skills required to obtain that new ship you want or to become certified in scanning etc.

Just looked at mine, at its going to take me just under 190 days to get the most out of the ship.

Just because they're hard to fly doesn't mean that I can't fly them badly and still be successful. Besides, I'm just going to use it to dual box level 4 missions, even with bad skills it makes rather more dps than the stealth bomber I'm using at the moment. I understand the need for that amount of skills, but I'm going to hold off on BS5 and Large weapons 5 until I can fly cruiser sized t2 ships. Cruiser 5 and large weapons 5 take about the same amount of time.

I've had great experience with cap boosting my maelstrom, it works very well for missions, figured that I'd try to do the same thing with my geddon.

Covert ops are fun ships. You'll never travel the same way ever again.

Yea thats cool, its more for pvp then anything. BS will go down a lot faster then you think if your not careful.

Also I tend to try and passive tank and mission ship, its not great relying on capboosts to keep your tank going. Amarr in general are pretty shit at pve, I'd probly fly the meal. Looks to me like your fitting for lots of damage but you really dont need tons esp as a lot of your damage will come from drones.

Try fitting to make your tank last.

they are really hard to fit for pve, just looking in eft now and nothing really works. You really want a domi or raven But I'd fly the meal...

Also are you flying 2 accounts at the same time? You could tank with one ship and damage with the other?

Yeah, I did a little eft-whoring, and I've managed to find myself a decent setup for an apoc. 10 less dps, less range, but it has 10 minutes of cap time with gamma, and doesn't use cap boosters.

But yeah, the second account was meant to be a cloaky-scanny alt/highsec iskmaking alt for my lowsec shenanigans. At the moment, it's following me in missions in a stealth bomber.

Try using 2 energized membranes.. so 2 active 2 passive hardners. Might save you some cap.

Also it is best to have 2 large armor reps

Using two passive hardeners kills my tank, no compensation skills yet. And why is it best to use two LARs?

Fortunately I have since got a job 7 months ago and don't have the time like I used to. So now I'm paying for both accounts. Also getting into industry with Rebecca is very hard. Often you make something that costs more to make than sell. I know that I'm doing it wrong probably and I'm thinking of maybe selling the account.

The next expansion will focus upon hi-sec invasion of the Sansha Nation and full character editor like APB for Incarna. Oh and next year I will aim for a Dreadnought like the ones you saw in that video.

They managed to bump a Titan out of the POS shields and WN managed to hotdrop tons of more Titans on it and pwn it. Simply stunning. The FC sounds like a soldier in Gulf of Oman for Battlefield 2 btw.
