Evening with 3DS Max 7...

if your in the LA area in California theres gonna be a 3dsmax7 show tonight with free give awayz etc. you have to pre register here http://www.discreet.com/events/. anyone can go it looks like. im going i got my comfirm email. heres some of the info they gave me

just asked my max teacher,, aparently character studio is going to be a seperate program now,.,.

no i'm pretty sure character studio was a seperate program and is going to be completely integrated now. I really wish discreet would go through and completely clean and rewrite max, get rid of a lot of stability bugs and issues, as opossed to just giving you a plug in for free and calling it an upgrade

that same teacher went to a max show and asked a discreet presenter when the hell they're gonna support exporting your UV's into an image file and his response was "we already have that feature, just open up your UV's then hit "print screen" and paste it in photoshop"

lol wtf,, they've been relying on some guy to write a free plugin for too long,, what if he decides to charge for texporter in max 7?? lol

on the Character Studio note...they said that CS is now included free with 3dsmax, instead of buying separatly like b4. the show was awesome. you can do normal maps with a few clicks now. lots of new features and things to make modeling alot faster and easier.
