On the first go. We always take for granted in a game our ability to resurect so much. If one was cought in any such situation is one's life you wouldn't get a second chance. So I put this question to the forum: Have you ever completed a game, on the first go, without any kind of deaths or mission failed screens? In games where you can't actually die having to repeat a certain task you've failed (a challege in Tony Hawks say) or using Vita Chambers counts as dying/failing. This is a question about games with narratives, so MP deathmatches and sandboxes where there is no way of failing obviously don't count.
I can't think of a singe instance where this is the case for me. Getting by on the skin of your teeth the first time is so much more exciting than dying and repeating, eg, the HL2 EP2 finale (I finished that without dying, but I died elsewhere in the game).
