ever since the bots update for css, i havent been able to join a game!!!

can someone please help me with this.

since they released the update for tides and bots, i havent been able to join an online game. i can still create a game and play against bots, but i cannot join someone elses game. everytime i try joining a game, this happens:

a bar comes up and it says connecting to server... (2 little blocks on the bar are there) then after about 15 seconds, the screen says "connection failed after 4 retries"

bots are fun and all, but they get really boring. anybody know what could be wrong?

Try and delete your clientregistry.blob.
Everytime my steam is acting up. That fixes it.
I had to turn down all my vid settings because of bad fps, since the bots were added.

But I get by.

do you have a firewall? the update may have changed hl2.exe and your firewall may not allow hl2.exe to have access to the network.

my suggestion: try disabling it, and if that works, make sure your firewall is allowing hl2 to have access to the network.
