Ever wanted to play Duke Nukem 3D in high-definition?

Well, this is your chance then to download the High Resolution Pack for D3D. Some guys over at the 3DRealms forum have remade D3D, so now you can enjoy it with good graphics.
Every model are being changed from sprites over to 3D models, textures are new and in much higher resolution plus more.

Though, they are still working on it but more than half of the project is complete and it looks very nice.

You can download it over >here<. They released a new version of it just a couple of days ago.

If you want to play the full game, you need to have it already. You can play this with the shareware episode though.

AFAIK yes you can with the shareware episode like torso boy said. I haven't tried myself though.

Download the shareware episode of Duke3D from 3drealms and then put the required files in the Hi-res project directory. You can play through 5 of the 28 levels in the full game.

Last time it didn't work that good for me.. textures were missing and stuff. I'll try again seeing its an updated version. I did duel-boot my other computer with 98se just to play this game

I downloaded the sharware demo, man this is fun
That high def pack makes it so much better, I couldn't play it before for very long because I'd get a headache from the scaling when you look around

I still have my Duke3D Atomic Edition CD but I dunno how worn the CD is.

And does it still have Dukematch Bot Support?
And are they still using the BUILD Engine?

I'm trying the shareware version with the new textures now.

Seems quite good, the only real problem I have with it is the new models miss that truly "****ed up" look when they are dead (blood all over, brains hanging out etc)
