I am fuming.
This is bullshit. New laptop arrived today, everythings great. But everything I download never works...

Ive been using it all day and Im using the same internet connection Ive always used, the other PC is fine.....

I tried updating Nvidia drivers... 3 times. Corrupt each time.
Fear Patch, twice.
Winrar
numerous other .exe files.

HELP!!:!!>!

Edit: Im running 32-bit Vista Home Premium.
Have tried 2 different wireless connections, will try ethernet.....

You have to delete riaa.exe and mpaa.exe :P

Seriously though, what are you using to download? Sounds like you might need a reboot/reinstall of something.

Great... my wireless router appears to be borked.
I dunno if its even fixable...

Try dabbling with the buttons.

That'll only result in a circum-retrospected ram bus driver sprocket. You need a rotating flange dual hinged re-corrective tool to un boogly your geschmoigen faddly untwesterverdashorstenschwimmenkrankenraus.

Do you have a spare router you can test with? Simply to confirm it is your router which is borked

Try fiddling with the knobs.

oh god, much lols

EDIT:

have you tried unplugging the modem and router for a minute?

also, those things you tried to download, I sometimes get corrupt downloads too, especially files like the ones you mentioned. try downloading something else after you reset your connection

I have 2 wireless adaptors (and one built in to the laptop), and they all work at my mate's place. So it seems to make sense.

Such a bitch because I like to leave torrents on 24/7
So my laptop is grounded next to the router or I cant download anything....

why not buy a new router. Most retailers will let you return it, even if you've opened it - in case it turns out your router isn't the problem after all.

See if you have the same problem with your ethernet cable nad post back.

Also while you are at it go to your command prompt, type arp -a and the go to your router and write down the MAC address of it and post both results here. I want to make sure there is no man in the middle attack on your network which is often related to the problem you are having.

It seems that it is tempering with msn messenger...i think that someone is trying to hack in your computer...
