Higher end systems probably won't see any performance increase. Oh, and if you plan on playing multiplayer, back up those files because you won't be able to play online with them extracted.

Umm, other than the .pk4s, what were the other files that were origionally in the base folder. I want to clean it out because it didn't work.

You know you could just extract everything to a different folder than "base" and it would show up as a mod, right?

That's what I've done with all of the little tweaks and mini-mods.

Just copy the base folder so you don't screw anything up..

Anyhow, this really only helps people with less RAM. 512MB or lower, I'd imagine. I can't say for sure, but I know it doesn't help if you have 1GB
