Experience slowness/freezes/black screens/no connecting? Look here

Okay so you click Play Game from the Games Menu, it goes through like 3 mins left to play, and it loads, takes forever and you experience slowness and such?

LOOK IN YOUR STEAM MONITOR! It hasn't finished downloading the update yet, the game launcher misjudges when to load the game (at around 75% or so) and it hasn't finished all the files.

So do what I did, turn off CS:S open up the Steam Monitor and just watch TV for a while I'm currently 95% done which is cool...

So please don't complain, just BE PATIENT :smoking: It's not going away for a while.

Yep, had that slow problem and figured it wasn't done downloading.

Yes this is true, it says its updated when its actually still downloading. I'm going to wait for it to finish.

You can actually right click your CS:S and select properties, and it will tell you how much you've actually aquired.

every time i try and connect to a sever it wont comon and when it dose it only goes to three bars and brings me back help

tried for 30 mins found one server I could actually connect to ...constant lag made it unplayable

Eh I got it downloaded successfully but dont think about playing for a while... the game lags and servers go up and come down constantly. Seems like every time someone uses a mic the server starts to choke up and soon after it crashes. So when you guys get in do everyone a favor and dont use your mic
