Exploding furniture?

i've been working on my map recently. in the kitchen area, i have a table and three chairs, positioned as shown

however, when i comile the level and start to play, i hear a big clang of metal, and go to the kitchen area to find the the table upside down, the chairs thrown about the room, the newspaper on the floor, and the mug smashed on the counter.

Any help please?

edit: yeah, i know, the texturing sucks
 
I can't be sure but it looks like you've got them positioned partly inside a brush (the feet) which could well be the reason its popping itself out when the map begins and the physics attempt to fix the problem

place it just above the brush not intersecting it. You can also set flags so it doesn't move until something knocks it, if you want things to remain still until then. (eg: like a radiator made to look as if its attached to a wall)
 
If you positioned ANY physic objects with any of their part touch a brush, they'll eventually bounce around :P
 
And we come to the conclusion that source suxx ;)
