External Harddrive question

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a 120 or 160GB external harddrive. I only want to use it for storage, so I don't particularily care about speed, but i want it to be reliable.

Any suggestions.

I have a friend who owns and loves his WDXC2500JBRNN. It's a little bigger/more expensive than the range you specified. He uses it extensively under Windows and Linux and travels with it all the time. Never had a problem. Can use both USB and Firewire.

i would also recomend anything by lacie or iogear, havent seen any problems coem back with the ones i sell

I got one of these Pikaone things.

Never heard of the make, so I was a little doubtful about buying it, but it looks kind of swish and has worked fine so far at least. I haven't used it much and there's no firewire, though. I seem to remember I got it for a lot cheaper than that Amazon price.
