Okay, so i have a Creative Sound Blaster LS! sound card. I have a 5.1 sound system to go with it. I noticed that three of the imput ports are for speakers, one is for a microphone and one is a midi hook up. But then there is this extra one...


What can I use it for?

Is it used for anything?

No, thats for my speakers. It's Blue.

if its sound blaster then the blue port is a line in port.

okay so its a "line in" port. What can I use it for? What is it normally used for?

say if you wanted to record like radio from a media player. just connect the 3.5mm jack into that and it will play on your pc. it kind of acts as a mic but its not exactly the same.

Wouldn't that be okay for recording instruments if you had the uh...big jack to mini jack converter thing?
