One of the things I've been thinking about is joining the airforce after university. Does anyone here know what the required eyesight is to become a military pilot, not a fighter pilot, just flying anything. I know that right now my vision is bad enough that I require glasses to drive. To be a NASA mission specialist you only need 20/150 vision

Well I'm not sure, to be a fighter pilot you need 20/20 vision, but for commericial flying you just need to have vision which can be correctable to 20/20 via glasses. So I would imagine flying with the military would be somewhere in between.

But I think, being the military they would have a strict entry system for this.

I´m pretty sure it has to be 20/20.. I think you can get away with glasses, but people with 20/20 vision have a far better chance of getting picked

and I don´t think they like people who´ve had laser eye surgery either

I don't think they like people who have had any kind of invasive surgery at all, because with the forces involved they don't want parts of you popping.
