I just got my x850 last week and was anxious to see how some of the upcoming games will run on it, so I downloaded the F.E.A.R. single player demo. All I can say is... amazing! The graphics are awesome, and the game play seemed to match that. The graphics kind of reminded me of a polished Doom 3, only this game was actually fun to play. :cheese: If you haven't tried this out yet, I would highly recommend it.
I did have a question on the system requirements, though. On the F.E.A.R. web site, they recommend that you have a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or equivalent processor. My new system that I'm building is going to use an AMD Athlon 64 FX-57 (2.8 GHz) processor. I've heard that most systems using the FX processors perform better than higher clocked Pentium processors in 3D games. So is there any concrete way of finding out what the Pentium-equivalent to the FX-57 would be? Or is this one of those things where you just have to download the demo and find out for yourself? Thanks.
