Fable 2 is Gold, but no online co-op day one

I'd be surprised if it's patched within the first week. Live updates are always behind schedule thanks to Microsoft's long certification process.

There is a new Call of Duty 4 playlist that was scheduled to be released about a month ago. It is yet to come out. This is typical with most games.

Burnout: Paradise bikes come to mind.

Looks nice.

I've never played Fable before, so could someone explain to me what type of game this is? It looks fairly similar to Oblivion.. so its an RPG right?.

Im really only planning on getting 2 360 games this fall, and at the moment - i'm thinking about L4D + FC2, but i'd quite like to know abit more about this one asewll.

Looked at some screenshots..

the draw distance is great, but the trade off seems to be rather sparse foliage.

Shame, I prefer the opposite.

Would like to see some gameplay in battle

Looks frickin pretty. Especially considering it streams naturally from indoors to out in a city that size, and it doesn't seem like there are many, if any buildings you can't enter. Not to mention you can buy them all and lay them out any way you please. :|

Unless Molyneux is telling porkies again, that is.

Molyneux is a dirty liar, I hope he dies in a chemical fire

Oh snaps, rhyme

I told myself not to get hyped for this after Fable 1 (even though I enjoyed it), but god damnit its starting to look real good D:

the video looks a ****ton better than the screenshots. Maybe they were old

Not bothered about online coop on day one. Just wanna do the story on the first run through and then play around on the second.Anyone know how long the main quest is?

Well, if you're going by Fable 1, about 5 hours

I don't really care about the online co-op for Fable 2. RPGs for me have always been about MY experience alone. I don't need any other folks twatting up my experience.

I dunno, done well (Secret of Mana), co-op can enhance the experience. I can't think of many rpgs that have done co-op well, though. Even playing through a single player game with a mate can be great fun - that's how I played OoT and WW for the first times. It's nice to share the really epic moments.

From the hands on previews I've seen they say blasting through just the main quest takes anywhere from 10-12 hours. Of course there seems to be a SHIT ton of things to do this time around so im sure it'll be alot higher if you plan on doing side quests and other things.

Slightly interested? It's going to be the nuts :)

I expect much more from this than Oblivion - in terms gameplay, story, atmosphere, epicness, and cool shit you can do with your character/environment, it looks leagues ahead. The dog companion should be a good addition and co-op has great potential.

Fable 2 looks like a Little Big Adventure for this gen.

(now i've said all this it's going to suck :/)

No you shut the hell up its going to be everything Peter is telling us its going to be D: Oh my god

Probably not, unless he learned from his mistakes with the first game.

The way im looking at it, is that this is just going to be the game Fable was supposed to be, and its actually looking that way so far so I think were pretty good right now.

That's good because on the first day I get a game I usually like to play it by myself to get a hang of the game and whatnot. And now I won't have friends bothering me to play.

Anyone who disliked fable is a dickshit. There, I said it. Who cares what the crazy frenchmen promised, what was delivered was a gem of a game miles ahead of the U.S. RPG market in terms of immersion and intuitiveness.

Here's to Fable II

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed but I did enjoy Fable. Can't say much for the ton of people who were butthurt by the hype

Fable was a shallow RPG.
All of the weapons and gear looked identical.

It was pretty, had cool skills and stuff... it was fun for a while but, it didn't hold my interest when every single piece equipment looked the same.

I guess I don't care if a lot of items and armors look alike. Oblivion had a lot of variety in terms items and areas to explore and ended up feeling (to me) like a very static and dry world. Something like an empty MMO. Give me a small cast of engaging characters, a generally fun combat system and humorous dialog any day. That's why I love Fable. It's just fun. It's not pretentious or overwhelming or trying to be something overly epic or intimidating. It's just Fable.

Meh, I haven't played it in so long... I'd have to give it another go to properly judge it.

Wait?! You can do 2 player co-op on one machine? Don't need to be connected to live? It's the only thing that will make me buy this game.
