I've been reading reviews about this game and it looks great. But here's the problem: I don't have an Xbox ;( . So I'm thinking about buying the Xbox to get this game, but I need some opinions about the game, have any of you played it? If so I need some help hehe.

Do not buy an xbox just for this game. It's only like 8 hours long with little replay value.

Fable is the only game that had as much hype as HL2... but didnt quite live upto it.

I'd say games like Halo 2 and GTA: San Andreas probably had similar amounts of hype surrounding them.

True, but they mostly lived up to their hype.

I heard great things about Halo 2 after it was released.
A week later, I heard bad things from the same people.

Don't buy an Xbox just for Fable, it's not worth the whole system. Buy the console for something else, then buy Fable.

Fable is a GREAT game But
It is very short (about 8 hours is right)
It does have some replay value but not that much

I would not buy an xbox solely for this game, I would hoever rent one and rent the game
Now I would buy an xbox for fable, halo, and halo2 :D

Not just that game, I'm obviosly getting others, Halo being one. Hoping to get Halo, Halo2, and Fable. But, yeah I'm not ONLY getting it for that game.

EDIT: Found this store that I can get 3 Used games for 20$. If I can find Fable, Halo, and Halo 2 I'll be golden. I also get 12 Free Rentals for buying a console at the store so I think I'm going to get it. :afro:

Don't forget to grab Unreal Championship 2 when it's released.
And you should grab Timesplitters 2, if you like your FPS games. Easily the best for multiplayer. I also highly recommend Otogi, Ninja Gaiden and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

I agree with the above but kotor is much better on the PC (the interface alone is so much better)

I've never seen the PC version of KotoR in a non-specialist store. It didn't seem to get as wide a release as the box version, so it might be easier to go the console route there.

the usual standard time need to complete this game is about 12 hours, not 8 like alot of people on this forum are saying.

I heard there are a ton of extra things you can do, so I am not really worried about you saying 8-12 hours or however it may be. I was just asking for some game related info not it'll take you 8 hours. How does it play, good story, easy combat, etc? What did you guys like/dislike about it?
