Does the func_brush have a built in fade dist? I don't see it in the parameters anywhere, but my brush seems to fade to invisible when I get far enough away from it.
Specifically I'm using the combineshieldwall texture on the func_brush (decompiled from the single player) and it works great... until I step too far away. Thinking back on the SP levels, I don't recall ever seeing a combine shield at a distance. Maybe this is by design, the fading invisible... but maybe not.
Any thoughts on how I can extend the fade distance without having the parameters available?
