Just copying/pasting this at cs:s/hl2 sites, so if you've seen it elsewhere you can disregard it...

So I've been wanting to get a particular nade round in to a proper movie but just don't have the time, so instead you get this.

x264-mp4 - 70 mb - High system specs only

xvid-AVI - 92 mb - General audience

streaming - GW Channel (plugin/registration)

Music: Beastie Boys - The Negotiation Limerick File

The mp4 plays fine for me on a mid/low-end pc. The xvid should play fine for everyone, anyone who can play Source anyway. Screens and mirrors over at own-age.

Originally started as a project to try and get some custom maps in a movie, maps you don't get to see in competition movies like de_nightfever, etc (or maps you rarely get to see with the settings turned up). Had a hdd crash so didn't have the demo selection that I'd have liked to.

For the beta of GW Channel everyone gets gold, not sure how that'll work when it goes live tho. Think of it as a gamer's Youtube, only much better quality. But if you're into image quality then grab one of the downloads. Enjoy.

Nice movie, nice shots, awesome quality and compression (mp4). You gotta tell/teach me how to do that.

I basically use toxik's guide, few things different. I use megui, the x264 only version, and leave everything default except what's circled in red.

Use FAAC to encode the audio and mux with mp4box. Never had any luck with the newer versions of megui, the ones that encode/mux all in one. Normally use 3300 or 3400, but since it was 1024 and 50 fps I tried 3600 and still played ok.

I've tried messing around with megui, faac and mp4box, but it always turned out ugly. I'm definately gonna try these settings. Awesome dude!

But I'm having a problem with css right now. Since some update a while ago I can't select widescreen resolutions anymore.

I had no luck with FAAC and mp4box, so I used the newest megui anyway, which went fine. I was happy enough with automated 2pass turbo, 3000 bitrate. Still, even at 640x480, 30fps this didn't compare to the quality in your movie :/

My movie 24mb/minute, yours 27.

This is the little clip I worked with.

I'll try out more later today, see if I can get any different results.
