As some of you know, I am a huge nerd and like to play WoW. As less of you know, I play on a roleplay server, which often ends up with me doing things like this:

I won't bother explaining it unless anybody asked, but it gave me an idea.

The aim of the thread: post your own fake political cartoons. They can be earnest and based on real issues, or they can be, like those of The Onion. They can even (this will be fun) be from fictional universe. What kind of political cartoons would newspapers carry when the Emperor (of Star Wars fame) disbands the Republican legislature? Or when Breen capitulates to the Combine? Or when Mass Effect's central character punches a news reporter on live television?

Show me the money!

You do realise that throughout the series the alliance has done more "evil" deeds than the horde (the new hrode at least) right?

I don't think you get the thread. The political cartoons should be from inside universes, thus, biased.

Also, you're wrong, lol.

Hmm, interesting idea. I might do something with Bioshock; Rapture is fertile ground for political cartoons.

Nu uh , the new horde saved the tauren , the alliance attacked orgrimmar for no reason. The horde saved the darkspear trolls the alliance attacked the frostwolves homeland. But whatever.

Edit : I do get the thread btw , im just saying because most people seem to think that because the alliance is "normal" they are automatically good (which is mostly people who have not played previous warcraft games).

indeed, and to contribute:

the New Horde incorporate the Forsaken (genuinely genocidal) and the Blood Elves (fascist, believe they have a racial right to everything, abuse magic which in-game-lore is a FORCE FOR EVIL). There is also a huge imbalance in quests between the factions; the Horde get a lot of quests where they directly attack the Alliance, while the Alliance get hardly any vice versa. Alliance problems also turn out with tiring frequency to be the result of trickery or 'bad apples' such as the disguised Lady Onyxia, whereas this rarely happens in the Horde.

As for "attacking Orgrimmar" (frozen throne I assume), Daelin Proudmoore was a rogue faction and Jaina took him out - Jaina's city is now the OFFICIAL CENTRE OF THE ALLIANCE (if not the practical one). And as for "attacking the Frostwolves", both sides blame each other for the situation in Alterac Valley; the Dwarves are clearly an expansionist imperial force but the Horde also attacked unarmed prospectors.

In the event, I believe both sides are fairly mean; hardly any of them, after all, are democratic. When roleplaying I am certainly an advocate for people having political opinions that most nowadays would hold to be disgusting. "Daelin was right, we should put the orcs back in camps, rah"

But it's pretty irrelevant :p I drew the cartoon for a roleplay publication. It is from an in-character perspective - that is to say, a biased one.

The publication itself is The Blunderer, which is hardly a serious publication.

The long-winded words are there because it was supposed to resemble an old-fashioned political cartoon. Old cartoons are often hilariously over-explained, or at least have a lot of text. Example.

Political cartoons aren't meant to be good.

Ah ye beat meh! But in all seriousness you were right , i guess my warcraft history is getting rusty :(.

Edit : but the blood elves and forsaked dont count because both are using the "true" horde factions (orcs , trolls and tauren) for thier own personal gain. The other races do not fully trust them.

But i suppose it is fair to say the new horde does stuff that its not proud of , making both sides just as bad as each other.

Hehe, I don't play WoW, but I get the idea here. I like it Sulkiesnacks.
