fake screen shots

I've noticed a lot of the early screenshots of HL2 are of scenes that are not actually in the game. Heres a gun- or at least a skin- that's not in the game

the one that realy confused me though was this

ok, this appears to be some kind of electric-tentacle monster. WTF? that seems like a big thing to show people before the game came out and just not be there. I seriousley walked through all of Nova Prospekt expecting to be jumped by this thing.

a) Not fake screen shots, old
b) the OICW was removed from the game...there was no need for it.
c) the 'hydra' which has been asked about 10000 times was cut because it sucked when you fought it.

I already recommended the Search feature... apparently he didnt heed my words.

Alright folks, PLEASE quit beating up on new people because they cannot find some obscure thing they do not know the name of (how was he supposed to know it was called the hydra) in the search window! The search feature on this forum is useful, but far from perfect, especially if you do not know the name of what you are looking for. SO go easy on em guys, and how about a NICER welcome to our forums eh?

He could have found out that it was called the Hydra by looking at the list of enemies on PHL.
