I've tried for the past week to get rid of this thing. The internet hasn't helped me much when searching. I use Spybot, it kills it, it returns. I go into safe mode, search, kill. I scan for virus, and AVG didn't find a virus, but Stinger and some online scanner found Generic Qhost. Got rid of that 2 different times. This shit just keeps reinfesting itself on my HDD...anybody have any tips? :(

I'm about to throw my HDD into my roomates computer as a Slave, and scan it that way, see if it works.

Or system restore would do it.
It wouldn't system restore just sets windows settings back. It's not a windows fault.

How did you know this? Did you already try System Restore?

System restore can also restore virii, since Windows will back up everything in the system32 folder, including malicious dll's and exe's. That is why you are recommended to turn system restore off when purging virii.

Laws were always meant to be broken. If you choose a restore point prior to when you downloaded the fake MSN will take care of your problems.
Try it, what do you got to loose?

Good Luck.
