Fallout 2 "CD Required" Issue

Hey Guys,

I just got Fallout 2 on CD, and I'm having trouble getting it to start - I keep getting a "CD Required" message, even though the CD is in the drive when attempting to run the game. I've tried installing the humongous version off the disc, and attempting to run the US patch got off here, to which I get a "image file is for a machine type other than current machine" error message when attempting to run the patch .exe.

I'm running it on a PC with Windows XP64bit, 1gig RAM, if that helps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Google up a no-cd patch. It's legal since you own the game, and will make it a whole lot easier.
