I liked Family Guy, but it's only funny because of Peter and I really got sick of this show real quick. Also when it isn't funny it's because the jokes are extremely lame - I can't believe how the writers thought some of them were funny.

Haha...South Park's take was great. That said they roast the hell out of the show, but defend it too. Most everyone but Cartman likes it and "it doesn't go always having a message and getting preachy."

The southpark writers are definitly better than family guy. The show has a lot of crude humor, but their satire and wit is awesome. That said, they don't try and be as outright funny as family guy does.

I think South Park hit the nail on the head as to why I feel new Family Guy episodes just plain suck now. I still maintain the old eps had enough plot-related jokes that were funny, but now every 30 seconds it's another "Like that time I..." joke.

South Park is better because they have balls, they will go right after a subject and not **** around trying to be nice, but Family Guy still makes me laugh a bit at how absurd it can be at times.

I started out hating Family Guy because it's stupid. Then I kinda got into watching re-runs of it on Adult Swim whenever I saw it on. Changed my mind, thought it was a decently funny show, better than most of the stuff on TV. After awhile, I started to notice how poorly written it was, and how a lot of the "jokes" didn't even have punchlines but relied solely on nostalgia. It's still not the worst show on TV, it has a lot of funny moments/characters. Very overrated though.

South Park however is a genuinely funny show. And that last episode give me a good idea ... it would probably be easy to create a Family Guy joke generator in Flash.
