I don't know about everyone else here, but I'm a huuuuuge Family Guy fan. I heard last year rumours that FG might have been uncancelled, with a new series airing in 2005. Until now, I have heard no official word and so have treated the claims with skeptisism. However this page seems to have confirmed it. 2005 is going to be an awesome year, HL2's kickass mods will start coming out, and a new series of Famliy Guy. :E

f0rked, im also a really big fan, i got the dvd box set which is viewed very regualry. anyways, the one problem i seemed to have with this new series, is that it will probably get aired in America first, and i see you too are from the UK so we probably wont get it here untill like 2006 or something stupid like that which is seriously not cool.
anyways, we can still dream.

hahaha family guy is the most randomess funny tv series but they went of air, i think :(

I a big fan, I just love the twisted sense of humour. I hope they do make a new series. It seems the TV companies don't want to give adult cartoons a chance, it was the same deal with Futurama, they constantly changed the time slot and complained about the rating! If they don't beceome as popular as the simpsons instantly they get axed.

I heard a rumour that cartoon network comissioned a new series for Adult Swim. Anyone know anything about this?

I think Family Guy is pretty good. But people on the internet treat it as the second coming of Christ. In other words, it's over-rated.

You may think its over-rated, but personally, I think it is the funniest program on tv, closely followed by earlier episodes of Red Dwarf. And yes, it does suck that we wont actually get it on tv here in the UK until around 2006, but theres nothing stopping someone from downloading the episodes, usually out on the same night they air on tv in the US..

Not that I'd condone such illegal action, obviously.

Will it air in Canada the same time it comes out in US? er around same time? Family guy is fuunnnny but a lot of jokes are getting kind of old/stolen from simpsons. But its still funny all the time so yay FG!!

...admire my sig it was time consuming to make!...

Is it an earless, talking pig head with glasses, rosy cheeks, and a flat-top haircut?

Got to love Family guy, my fav show, pitty its hardly EVER shown in the UK, its a shame cus its so much better then the simpsons and stuff.

My Maisionette mates love Family Guy. One of them has seen every episode about 5 times.

Family Guy rules. Anyone know if the rest is coming out on DVD? I have vol 1 & 2 already.

It's not hard to accidentally copy the simpsons...they've had over 300 episodes and done basically everything that can be done. They're out of good ideas but are still making the show...its been going downhill for a good while. Dont get me wrong though...i like the older episodes, and they still have a fairly decent joke every now and then.

There are more? I thought it was only three seasons before it got cancelled.

Anyway, Family Guy is almost definitely being produced again. Last I heard was that the new season comes out Spring 2005 with 35 new episodes.

dare i say this but i think family guy's comedy surpasses simpsons in several episode. Its one hell of a show. And yes, season four will be coming in may.

Family guy rules! Quagmire or watever his name is is so frekin funny!

yah man quagmire is so funny with he sideways head bob

"alllll right"

yes actually there is more. those who have volume one and two need to get volume 3.

I don't think it's on DVD, though. Someone had the new (cancelled) episodes on their PC but I haven't seen it on DVD.

I think any 1 who doesnt find family guy funny has a serious sense of humour problem. :monkee:

I have volume 3 on DVD, funniest program ever IMO.

Got it from HMV for only 25 quid.

Family guy box set

theres the link for the boxset, it contains seasons 1,2 and 3, and even a bonus dvd with never seen before extras. i got this and it *****ing rocks! i watch it most nights before i go to sleep, but to charm me to bed with its funnyness. and yes, season 3 is a must see as it consists of 3 dvds!
The humour of family guy surpasses most if not all animated comdeys out there ( obviously theres a different "division" for southpark).

Okay... this is confusing. I have VOLUMES 1 & 2 on DVD seperately, but they actually contain the first three SEASONS. Look here -

Family Guy, Vol. 1 (Seasons 1 & 2) (1999)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000083C6V/103-7774664-5407869?v=glance

Family Guy, Vol. 2 (Season 3) (2000)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008YGRV/103-7774664-5407869?v=glance

Each contains 2 discs and roughly... 14 episodes... I think. So what the hell? Box Set has SEASON 3... but that has three discs? Why can't I find this seperately?

The US box sets muts be different from European and other region's box sets.

Here there are 2 sets. Vol. 1 & 2. 1 includes season 1. Vol 2 inlcudes season 2 & 3.

The fact that FG is coming back is old news...but I can never pass up an opportunity to celebrate it . May 2005 here we come. Simpsons had its time...and it has never made me laugh as much as Family Guy does. Not to mention how many times I can watch the same episode of FG and still find it hilarious...the humor I find in Simpsons runs dry quite fast.

It's the exact opposite for me. Seasons 2-9 of the Simpsons I can watch over and over again, but Family Guy gets old.

Out of animated shows I would rank:
1. Simpsons (classic era)
2. Futurama
3. South Park
4. The Critic
5. Family Guy
6. Simpsons (new era)

I should add that I find all but the new Simpsons funny.

I'm glad you put that there because the new eps. suck so much it's painful.

The new episodes of The Simpsons are horrible. Not even remotely funny.

It's a shame to see it come to this, thinking of how much The Simpsons rule otherwise. They're just ripping off Family Guy (Someone talks about something and camera switches to that thing he talked about, something funny/satirical happens there) and their old episodes, using the same jokes again and again.

:|

As I own the first three Family Guy seasons on DVD, I can hardly wait until these new ones air. It's going to be quite glorious.

Is Fox going to be the only station that will air them or will Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) air them also?

What about the stuff after Season 3? A friend of a friend had a whole bunch of episodes I hadn't seen on his computer. But since I'm not a pirate... (ie - did not have blank discs handy)

Opposite for me, too. Family Guy is funny, and truly classic, but I can't watch it as repetitively as I do Simpsons. Maybe this has to do with the number of episodes. And the jokes on Season (Volume... whatever) 2 were more few and far between. Still some real jewels, but it kinda sucked more frequently. Season 1 is more re-watchable.

Okay, I just took a look at my DVDs, they are marked "VOLUME ONE" and "VOLUME TWO".

...This is getting on my nerves.
