We're not out of the woods yet. And here's another reason not to attack Iran:
"We do not intend to attack anyone, but consider it necessary that all our partners clearly understand, and that no one has any doubts, that the Armed Forces will be used to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia and its allies, including preventative action, and including the use of nuclear weapons."

It's not official, but anyone can see it's en route

In 2005, Russia was the seventh largest trading partner of Iran, with 5.33% of all exports to Iran originating from Russia.[4] Trade relations between the two exceed USD$1 billion.[5]

As confrontation between the United States and the European Union on one side and Iran on the other escalates, Tehran is finding itself further pushed into an alliance with Beijing and Moscow. And Iran, like Russia, "views Turkey's regional ambitions and the possible spread of some form of pan-Turkic ideology with suspicion".[6]

Russia and Iran also share a common interest in limiting the political influence of the United States in Central Asia. This common interest has led the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to extend to Iran observer status in 2005, and offer full membership in 2006. Iran's relations with the organization, which is dominated by Russia and China, represents the most extensive diplomatic ties Iran has shared since the 1979 revolution.

The solidity of Tehran-Moscow ties remains to be seen and tested however. Russia is increasingly becoming dependent on its economic relations with the West, and is thus gradually becoming vulnerable to western pressures in trying to curb its ties with Tehran. Iran has also expressed its unhappiness with the repeated delays by Russia in finishing the Bushehr Reactor project, as well as Russia's stance in the Caspian Sea dispute.

Unlike previous years in which Iran's air fleet were entirely western made, Iran's Air Force and civilian air fleet are increasingly becoming Russian built as the US and Europe continues to maintain sanctions on Iran.[7]

No doubt people will miss the point yet again if another cold war takes place, and fail to realise that the banking families that control the issuance of currency instigate all the wars. Both sides have to be funded, and no doubt it'll be the leading interest of banks to loan the money and make a profit of it.

Everyone says war is ugly and it is, but I find it bizarre how that is always what people say when primarily war is actually business.

The theocracy in Iran could mean a problem to the alliance if Russia returned to the state atheism of the Soviet era.

Damn Jewish Bankers!

Not all Jewish. That's a stereotype. Most are faithless invisible dictators of Jewish heritage, so whatever.

Here's a picture of one
