Hi. If you notice your fps in half-life is pretty poor, grab the drivers below. They have a patched opengl driver that really helps out in cs. Mine (9800 pro 128) went from 50-60 with the 4.5 cats to 130-160 with the below drivers. Definately worth a try :)

I really hope this works, tired of not being able to run HL/CS without FSAA/AF, and it still runs kinda "meh" without it

Thanks :)

Sweet, thanks Onions :) Fixed my problem, I can actually run CZ with 6xFSAA and 16xAF without random framerate drops

Thanks again :)

eh, i've been running CS1.6 on my 9800pro 128 (latest catalyst drivers) with AA/AF at full and have been getting the default maximum 72.0fps constant the whole time. im sure it'd go a lot higher if I unlocked this because on my own very high-detail (high-poly) maps I still get the maximum 72.0

you guys got bad cards or something?

I have no problem with vanilla CS, only CZ

:dozey: There's fixes without loss of image quality? I don't really trust other drivers made from other people than ATi.

I use the Omega drivers (they can be found at www.omegacorner.com). I started using them after issues with my card (and all-in-wonder 9700 pro) and an older version of an ATI driver. They have continued to be very stable, and come packaged with great software to get the most out of my card. Defenitly worth checking out!

I believe the ngo drivers are just the latest catalyst drivers with an older catalyst opengl driver packaged in.
