The PC version will probably just use an updated Cryengine2 Sandbox.

That's just a dumbed down version of it with a different UI anyway.

Though, I am very impressed at the fact that they are including this on the 360.

Yeah, Far Cry 2 isn't running on CryEngine2.

Great stuff to see on consoles, but I prefer doing this sort of thing on a real PC as opposed to a console posing as one.

It surely must be some port of cryengine(2). Everything about it seems exactly the same, even down to the icons for entities in the editor.

It was developed with grounds from Cryengine 1 so it's bound to be similar, that and it's just the natural progression of games engines, encouraging the whole realtime, build as you play aspect. Both attractive to artists and gamers alike.
