Ubisoft today announced that the Far Cry PC Multiplayer Beta test will commence today at 20:00 GMT (in other words right now). 5,000 gamers worldwide will have the exclusive opportunity to take part in a multiplayer beta test for Ubisoft's upcoming FPS. Read the press release for more details and check the official site to signup.

I get picked to beta test a ton of games. I think it has a lot to do with your age, I'm 23.
 
is it first come first serve?? or is it a picking basis
 
yea!...glad for u man...how long did it take? or is it instant?
 
I think beta tests like these are random... just judging by how quickly you are chosen.
 
I signed up... that'd be so sweet if I'm picked...

I made my ubi.com account a while back, and apparently I was feeling... different... that day... because it came up and said my address was 666 Devil's Highway, Humorous Hell... :devil:

I have been reg with them since their site is made up, I think the older you are the more chance you have.
 
hope im picked.....some reason this game reminds of battlefield....or battlefield vietnam i have no clue why it does thou
 
Dammit, had to make a new account... I forgot all the details on my old one and they wouldn't let me change my password. Hope I get picked :/
 
I never get picked for beta's either. I got to try them sometimes because one of my old friends works for various sites.. such as PlanetWarcraft and stuff. He has serious connections.

But now he's in Florida...so no more hookups for me :(

I didn't get an email right away :( No FarCry for me. BAH!!
 
man i want to be picked...oh well...sigh....now if this was hl2 beta testing...eheeheh....this would be insane!!! :bounce:
 
Ive signed up for LOADS of beta's, and not one I have played ;(

So, ill probably skip this oppertunity, I bet theres millions of people signed up all ready for this thing ;(

Sorta like the BF42 mp beta? People hacked it so you could play by yourself and just check out the vehicles. I checked it out...loved it..bought the game. I hope that happens with FarCry..maybe even to the extent of WC3 Beta...

That was nuts. There were alternative battle.net's out there...a bunch of servers to connect to...lots of fun. I don't think FarCry has quite the following though for this type of thing.

Not yet, They send me an email to confirm that my address is right and I will recieve a CD within many days. weeks in other word.:eek:

too bad it's not based on experiance.... I've tested Unreal II: XMP, EVE Online, Savage, and Horizons
 
They didn't ask for machine specs or anything. I'm guessing it's probably random or that age may have something to do with it.
 
I've beta tested WC3:TFT, FFXI, PlanetSide and uhh.. hmm. lol, that's about it

well looks like im not going to be picked.....guess ill have to wait around for another beta.....but it would be nice if someone would PM me when there is going to be beta signup

Minimum:

P4 1.7
512MB
at least Gforce 4
operating system 2000 or xp

and many more :bounce:
