Far cry Multiplayer...

i've been anticipating buying far cry for a while now...i was just wondering what you thought about the multiplayer. i heard its really good if you get on a decent server

Its pretty crap to be honest. Singleplayer is much better.

I liked it but no one plays. Its worth it tho sp is very long and very fun.

IMO MP is good...especially when u use this fast conversion ] http://www.obsidianedge.com/index.php [ which makes the gameplay a lot more tactical...kind of Ghost Recon/Operation Flashpoint Mix...
Also Singleplayer is great, so go and get this awesome game!!

Deathmatch is terrible, but i find assualt highly amusing. Don't play it anymore though.

It always seems like I'm the only engineer, so if you see a tower I'm probably on the server and have built it. :/

Its good MP but its so easy to play, the first time i played FarCry i played MP after about 2 hours playing and was top of the list on a 20 person server for the whole round.

Far Cry MP is very fun, especially when playing as an engineer. But I've got a server list with... no servers in it. -_-

Farcry's single player is the best thing about it, but I found the multiplay really fun as well. Too many people beat on it.

I'm planning on buying the game after I get a new computer at the end of the year lol.

Firemachine you need to make your sig smaller, the limit is 4 lines. I thought it was part of your post at first lol.

how many players max can you have in a farcry MP map?

Last time i played, it was with about 16 people, i think. We were on that Frieghter map, and i based my conclusion on that. Horrible deathmatch.

As for assault, there's at most 32 players, i believe.

ahh right *le sigh*, thats a shame really then. Farcry MP could have been pretty unique with more players on maps like that. Proper little wars n stuff, whole teams controlling area's while another sneak attack instead of people randomly running around.

It's extremely laggy and overall feels like it has not been playtested correctly.

I don't have too much of a laggy experience, it's more the fact that it's quite boring.

Assault isn't that bad, it could have done with a bit more working on, currently its a case of build some useless walls and watchtowers, whilst campers, who are quite frankly in camper heaven, pop off your heads.

Yeah, there are hardly any far cry mods, but hopefully, the one is started isn't to far from completetion.
