Farcry question?

Ok so I got a new computer (specs below) and I installed farcry today. However for some reason when I try to set the render box to paradise It says not supported on it and all other options except default...anyone have any ideas why?

try new drivers, if that doesnt work, im out of idea,s and new patches might do, oh and new drivers for everythin

Did you install the video driver off the disc that came with your card?

If so, go to www.ATi.com and get the latest Catalyst drivers.

I forget which, but one of the detail settings must be on high for this feature to work. Make sure everything is at high and try again.

Oh and btw a lot of people forget to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones. ALWAYS DO THAT.

far cry does not natively support the x800xt, therefore just ignore what it says and manually configure everything, it works, it just doenst think it does.

Ok thanks fellas....I have all seetings on very high so then do i need to lower them to high then??? I didnt try uninstalling the old drivers first so Ill have to do that. When you say manually configure everything how do I do that??

Go to video settings. Make everything Very High.

i hate uninstalling drivers properly first. it always never works for me. it detects my 'new hardware' gcard and i cant install the newly downloaded drivers.

anyway, also try getting dx9.0c. it worked for me on doom3 and i saw huge improvements on other games.

Ok I have the most recent direct x installed and I also uninstalled reinstalled the newest drivers, also I have all settings on ver high in the video options and yet still its saying not supported for all rendering options exceptr default????AHHHHHH.....HELP????? I really wanna see farcry in all its glory on this new system dam it :angry: ..... you all on these forums know a shit load about comps someone anyone gotta know??

I dont think the way the settings are has anything to do with it, i could be wrong so dont quote me.

When i played farcry with my GF4 ti4600 i could change the render mode to what ever i wanted to, then i got my X800pro and i could'nt change the render mode at all. Now the game does'nt even load up before it crashes on my pc, damn ATI im sure its the devil (no its not an illegal version of farcry either)

Hmmm well I was running it on a 9800 pro before and had no problems selecting rendering mode then.... well i did once but I had to do a system restore and it fixed it however the problem then was that the options were greyed out but this time they say not supported on them????? :angry:

No idea. Works on my 9600 Pro.
