Live Action Cinematics are one of the staples of Command and Conquere, the overarching franchise that RA belongs to.

And now that EA is behind them, they can hire awesome actors. Which is good, because their writing went down the crapper (insofar as deliberately shitty B-grade writing can be made unintentionally worse)
