Just curious what people's favorite Christmas movie is. Most are pure garbage, but there are a few that I grew up with that I love to watch...

It's a Wonderful Life

Scrooge (the musical that had Albert Finney as Scrooge and Alec Guinness as Jacob Marely)

A Muppets Christmas Carol

I also like One Magic Christmas (cause it aint a Disney Christmas without murder and death), The Christmas Toy (Toy Story ripped this off big time), and The Nightmare Before Christmas (i mostly associate it with Halloween).

edit: I already started watching the muppet special since its been years since Ive seen it... god I love it

Damn cant believe I forgot about Home Alone... saw that in the theater and loved it soo much. Die Hard is a good choice too

Home Alone and Die Hard are almost guaranteed.

As is the Coca Cola xmas advert...''holidays are comin', holidays are comin', holidays are comin'...'' with the long line of trucks with the xmas lights. Its only xmas for me when that advert comes on.

One of my housemates watched The SOund Of Music every year with her family after lunch.

I watched that film once.

I then contributed to the suicide numbers in the UK for that year.

All of the movies made in claymation that used to be on TV all the time like these:
watch

And of course others mentioned in the thread like A Christmas Story, Scrooged, and Home Alone.

As for Christmas specials, nearly everything on Nickelodeon in the 90s/early 2000s had awesome Christmas specials.
Some include Hey Arnold, Rugrats, and Catdog... I honestly can't remember anymore since I haven't seen them in so long but you get the idea.

Home Alone and A Christmas Story are my biggest favorites. I seriously don't know how I'm not tired of both of them yet.

Hell yeah, Home Alone!

Also, what the hell happened to your post lucid?

I broke the forum with my small nostalgia bomb edit I guess.

Die hard (if it actually counts)
Scrooge (alastair sim version EASILY the best version!!)
it's a wonderful life

I don't know if you'd consider them 'specials' but some of the very best West Wing episodes were set around Christmas time. Like Josh's therapy, or Toby and the homeless guy.

Gremlins and It's a Wondwrful Life always remond me of Christmas.

I watched Die Hard last Christmas day. What the hell is going on here?

Did you **** my mom?

Did you ****... my... mom...?

Did you **** my mom Santa Clause?

Did you **** my mom?

Did you **** her?

Did you **** my ****ing mom?

DID YOU **** MY MOM SANTA!?

Charlie Brown Christmas... great for people with short attention spans like me

Home Alone TWO (for Pigeon Lady and that hotel room scene)

A Christmas Story

The Snowman is a nicely drawn cartoon... So yeah I like it. For what comes to movies, It's Die Hard showing the true meaning of christmas.

yippie-ki-yay, mother****ers
