I was bored and thought this would be interesting.

So what is your favorite character class in D&D games? Mine is the ranger, I play a ranger class as much as I can.

I find it funny this thread hasn't been posted before (although maybe it has and I'm just blind.) :rolling:

Barbarian/Fighter. If not that then Elemental type mage (shoots fire, ice, lightning etc.)

Whoooarrrr!! Barbarian and Necromancer.

You can tell what I play. ;o

Yeah, I like the Ranger, though I usually just play the Fighter in computer D&D games...

I've got a character, Rolf the Ranger (:E). He's cool. Two swords, one of which is the Sword of Shraven, which kicks butt, but requires payment (and powering) in the form of the souls of (preferably) evildoers, which it drains on a critical kill. He's almost terminally scared of high heights (the gnome airship was a memorable experience... Rolf stayed lying flat in the middle of the ship, gripping the decking with both outstretched hands). Oh, and everywhere he goes, he always manages to get covered in something sticky and/or smelly. Or get cursed, like the time he had a spell put on him that caused flowers to sprout from his boots. Not very smart (Int 7) but fairly wise (Wis 14). And not much to look at, either.

i'm more of a CQC type character, I prefer playing a straight fighter, paladin or monk.. Maybe mix in some barbarian.. It all really depends on how I'm feeling..

But, I can definetly play any class and play it well, I just like swinging swords at people :D

Warrior, I usually use 2 shields and throw my kilt at people.

i prefer to concentrate my efforts on the arts of magic, a high to moderate level mage (7-15) is pretty much the backbone of the party, and my favorite pic would be the conjurer. you barbarian fighters can drink up all the storm giants strength potions you want, my hasted summoned planars will make short work of your fragile bodies......mwahahaha....

jesus christ i'm a loser!

in 2nd Edition, it used to be a Fighter/Wizard. In 3rd it was the Sorceror. But... since I don't play D&D anymore, it doesn't matter.
I've switched to Palladium Fantasy and Rifts. Playing an Armored Slayer right now. woohoo! :E

here in my country dont sell that game
I want to play it

Wow, just by posting in this thread my nerd quotient just went up about 10% It's now at a grand total of 90.

meh, nerds rule the western world now so really it isn't a bad thing at all.

you don't have to necisarrily purchase anything to play dungeons and dragons, all you really need is your imagination. :)

but back to reality here, its usually good with some dice and a pad of paper and some pencils. just make up the rules until you can find the books (by hook or by crook)

good luck RJMC

oh yeah, i always play the foolhardy Fighter, you should have seen me this time i jumped out of the window of a burning (and crashing) airship. the ballon had just been cut, and all my fellow adventurers were already hanging on to the ropes for dear life.

well, i was still inside the damn wooden part of the ship. so i had to try to grab a rope from the nearest available exit (the roof hatch) or the window next to me. i did the noble thing and let the NPC climb through the hatch while i jumped through the glass covered window to the rope flailing around outside.

and wouldn't you know it? glass hurts when you jump through it :( i only had 3 hit points because i hadn't had a chance to rest after we destroyed the psychic liche in the underwater shrine ( tell yah about that one later ;) )

well anyway, fortunatly i don't die from the glass (oh i should prolly mention i had taken off ALL of my equipment save my clothing, and put it in the upper-blimp because i just KNEW i was going to have to deal with a situation like this.)

so i'm on 2 hitpoints after crashing through the glass, DM wants me to make a acrobatics check, so i say "ok... i've got a +3 dexterity, i can do this, no encumbrance modifiers, your the man. come on!"

*i roll the dice*

1...

*i stare at the die*

DM says "ok, there's still some rope left, youve got another chance to grab it"

*i roll again, sweating nervously*

i get another 1.

*a stare at the stupid peice of plastic. wishing for it to melt as the DM describes my firey plummet into the ghost-filled mansion below me. he then describes the blimp dropping onto the house, with me inside of it. causing the fuel to explode. decimating the house.*

by now im crying. he then informs the rest of my party that if they wanted to go and collect my peices, they'd better 'take 20.'

best character death, evar.
