Favorite Descent?

What would your favorite descent be? Personally, I vote for 2. The first one was OK...the 2nd one was awesome. The 3rd kinda just went off the 2nd. Didn't change enough for another game IMHO...and the expansion for 3...yeeeahh

I don't particularly like Descent all that much, never could get over the cartoony graphics or the annoying controls, but I love the concept - anyway, I prefer 2. My friend recently sent it to me and I've played it a bit, I prefer it over three and one by a fair amount.

Just to spark your interest, I'm currently planning for and designing a Descent-style six degrees of freedom mod that my friend and I plan on making in the coming year or two. You won't hear about it for a while though.
