whoa how do u do 3rd person..i never knew u could do that..btw this game scares the crap out of me..i just played it a few minutes ago and im taking a break right now..
 
The 3rd person view kinda takes you out of the game...

I second that, even though I havent played, I tried it in Far Cry, It takes you out of the game, like you said

go into console mode by CTRL + ALT + ~ and then type pm_thirdperson 1 to get into third person mode and pm_thirdperson 0 to get out of it.

Nice screens. I have a few myself, know a place that host screens and how do i post them like that?
 
Those hills....ergh...*cough*sucks*cough* The textures are not sharp at all, is it because of your quality settings?

Indoors looks fine, outdoors need more work.

I'll be playing it soon, so I will take screens too. :D
 
ive seen those exact screens before on another forum, looks like you just cropped them.

lol, well I have two seperate saves, 1 save is where i played without cheats and will continue on that and then there is the other part that i call the slaughter room, this is the place where i spawn a bunch of stuff and cut down with the chainsaw, its kind of like a death camp for demons, i like to make my own storys there. Hopefully i can find some tuts for making my own levels cause thats what im looking forward to the most. :imu:

The graphics are trully impresive, from what we have seen, HL2 dosen`t compare to that... :(

Sorry didn't reallt read your first post Tork, did you use some code to spawn those enemies or what? :) Nice btw.
 
Yeah, to spawn something just go into console mode and type for example

spawn monster_demon_trite
spawn monster_demon_cherub
spawn monster_demon_mancubus
spawn monster_demon_archvile
spawn monster_demon_pinky
spawn monster_demon_tick
spawn monster_demon_hellknight
spawn monster_boss_cyberdemon <-- lol, this guys like 20 feet tall.

the list of monsters can be found in the editor, to go to the editor type editor in console or make a seperate shortcut and add +editor to shorcut, from there you can access the list of entities, or you can try listmonsters in console but that will give you a small list, if anyone knows to get the full list from console pls do tell.

also to make things easier add this to your shortcut +com_allowConsole 1 so you dont have to press ALT + CTRL + ~ everytime, just ~

example shortcut: "c:\Program Files\Doom 3\Doom3.exe" +com_allowConsole 1
 
Great. I'll try it when I've completed the game ;) So far, pressing ctrl +alt haven't been much trouble.
 
Those are pant wettingly gorgeous. How was the framerate treating you with those screenshots Tork?
 
Ive completed it without cheats so now it's a case of cheating to bits and going through getting as much cheat-filled enjoyment out of it as possible :)

Hunting secrets mostly, found one already (see other thread)

havent yet tested, but i put it in ultra mode and it was kind of a slow compared to high.
 
Nice shots but the sky box ruins the feel. :(
 
Tork.....you're like the master at taking screenshots. Those are some of the best screenshots I've ever seen. For ANY game.
 
I found those commands too, they're awesome, cept for the 3rd person one...I found that one here!

That's some pretty bad clipping on the Baal's first shot.

The rest are cool though, but I'm still not totally happy with Doom's graphics.
I guess it looks better in motion.
 
I didn't even notice the clipping....I wouldn't blame the game...well, maybe you could, but I was abusing commands. It probably wouldn't happen if you just payed single player right through.

ps: I'm looking at Tork's ss's...and I wish I knew why his Monorail Rail is so shinny is a few of the ss's....mines not :(

I even turned mine on high.
 
tork how are u getting noticeably lower frames? we have like the same comp and ultras running like butter.
