HEy dudes and dudettes! WASSUP! well i thought i might start a pole on some of the most coolest dos based fps ever created. If i missed on a couple that u found cool, please forgive me! just post em in this forum... im sure were all excited to hear emm....

PEACE

Mike :smoking:

PS( redneck rampage and shadow-warrior were so much fun!)

The only DOS based FPS I ever played was Duke Nukem 3D, and that wasn't so bad. I was born too late to be playing DOS based FPS's. I was too busy with Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo.

Wolfenstein, that game totally rocked!

Hey thenerdguy, every topic you and I both post in I start to like you better and better. (not to mean I didnt like you before)

Duke Nukem 3D, both Dooms, redneck rampage and (only a few played this I think) little skyscraper of horror (or doom... either way its a pretty scary game).

yeah i know , RR was a game that i think not to many people played... i own all of emm... and still try to play emm on my old 233 lol

Blake-Stone! :O That RULED!!

Duke Nukem ruled more though. :D

[EDIT]: Where's Dark Forces and Heretic? They were DOS weren't they? :|

And who can forget Rise Of The Triad? All of those raising platforms that made no sense in even being there! Wierd!!

Gotta go with Duke. It came out right at the transition from Dos to Windows. Also it was an awesome-ass game.

Other: Chex Quest 1/2/3

They were TCs on the Doom engine, but that's okay. They were still AWESOME.

Heh, Chex Quest was an embarassment. It wasn't bad because it lacked violence, it sucked because the level design was attrocious and the game itself provided no real challenge.

Oh i remember all those late nights whren i was little playing wolfinstine on my brothers computer.. lol thats defenetly one of my favoutetes.

None of the above! Dark Forces forever! Man that game was THE FPS that got me into FPS'. I bet I'd enjoy playing that game even to this day.

 Duke Nukem and shadow warrior were alike. Both were fun as hell.

Doom!! Man, was it scary back then! By the third level I was so scared I couldn't continue any further.

i know! lol i remember playing that game in the afternoon and still getting willies.. ahahah it was so much fun.... DOOM reined back then ... BFG ALL THE WAY! lol

PEACE

Mike

I would say Doom but I played Doom2 before I played the first.... my bad. :(

omg
i forgot about Blake Stone!
yeah it was good fun too.

My first ever fps: CyClones

Was a decent game I thought. Can't find any info about it online though.

I really liked Blood (was that dos-based or do I just remember it that way?). I thought the levels (and the enemies, and weapons) were pretty creative, and that carnival level..... hehe :D.

But out of the ones listed in the poll, I'll go for Doom. I only vaguely remember it, but I think I liked it better than Doom2, Wolfenstein, and Duke.

Edit: A little info here on CyClones.

And I also liked Heretic/Hexen. Heretic is the only game from back then that I actually remember finishing.

Rise of the Triad!!
blah! Blake Stone link doesn't work.. :(

/me downloads Rise of the Triad :cheese:

Yeah, RotT was awesome back then. I had a demo of the game and I recall playing it like a madman with my friend (who used to also play Duke Nukem 3D at my house, like everyday). I think it was the first game where you could go akimbo :)

Link doesn't work for Mobygames? Do they still have downloads on that site? I saw them once but I can't find the little link to download stuff off there anymore (I think I'm going insane or something). But, anyways, Dosgames.com is your friend :). If that's the Blake Stone you're talking about. I don't even know if I'm talking about the right stuff here; it's about time to go to sleep .
