I know you can't have one so name three. Mine are Nihilistic Software, Bungie Studio's and now the amazing Retro Studio's.

Bioware... only ones I've actually had real contact with... and it's awesome that I was able to. :)

Nintendo has probably made the most games that I've liked over the years, though.

Nice. I just wanted to know who everyone thinks does the best. And it seems like it varies. I was guessing everyone choose Valve and id. But I guess that isn't the case here.

VALVe(sorta) ID and that other one i forgot :) oh yea and splash damage is good to ...they are the new one and they are working on doom3 mp maps

Lucky bastards start out making mods. Now they have their hands on DOOMIII Tech and are working professionally. Envy.

They made Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption. Quite possibly the best RPG I played in a long time.

Id have to say that my number one all time favorite would be planet moon for Giants. god i loved that game! then would be blizzard for sc, and then bioware for SW:KOTOR

Bungie!?!? what did they make?? oh i dont remember but they did make Halo pc, oh god i was so upset when i played that game. .. but they did make something else that was ok.. oh well all i remember was halo and it was gay!!

EDIT: w00t!!! first second page post!!! or first post on second page.

Valve, but seeing as they really only have one title under their belt its rather premature, unless you consider mods they adopted and expansion packs titles. They made gunsomething chronicles too though, right? haven't played that. other than valve, probably blizzard. they make quality games. I don't like most id games much.

Bungie made the Marathon series, the Myth series, Oni, Halo and various older titles. All of which were technologically ahead of their time and not to mention featured great stories.

black isle (love their RPGs), VALvE (HL2 looks goooood), rockstar (i just cant stop playin vice city) and Square /(NOT "square enix as they r now called, coz the final fantasy classics have been and gone. i was vrought up on Final fantasy)

ID, Valve and Raven.........:)

edit: Rockstargame is my fourth one

You should make a poll...........

well, I really liked Looking Glass Studios, but they have been dead for a while now ;(

I never liked em before really.. but
DICE (digital illusions) Coming practically out of nowhere with Battlefield 1943,
they have consistently bettered and added content to their title, as well as developed 2 expansion packs (which were both great IMHO) and a sequel, they are really off to a great start.

not to mention they scooped up Desert Combat creators "Trauma studios", and are heading down the "good" path that Valve started on (but recently are flat on their faces).

and Im not even really into BF and DC, they just deserve a good pat on the back for their efforts.

edit: oh and Bullfrog, they had some awesome stuff back in the day

Man I wish they would do a syndicate remake (that game was the best)
in fact, gamespot has some "Rumor control" on a syndicate remake
( http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/sacred/news_6090293.html )
Im hoping against hope it turns out to be true.

DICE also made my favourite racing game for Xbox, RalliSport Challenge. Excellent game.

Bullfrog, the people who made cannon fodder and Westwood (before EA bought them)

I liek Valve too, but not enough tog et intot he top 3....they are number 4 until i tihnk of something better.

Capcom - they're games have always been fun(SFII and RE), until they milk the franchises
Nintendo - It's a meee...Mario
Elorg - who hasn't played tetris???

1) Nintendo (specifically Shigeru Miyamoto): There is no competition. I've been playing their games since before I can remember... and they always have great gameplay and interesting concepts. Just look at the ****ing huge list of games they made and see how many you remember playing as a kid.

2) id Software: They single-handedly got me hooked on PC gaming with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom.

3) Valve, Blizzard, or Westwood Studios: Tough choice.
