Favorite Half-Life mod

This has proably been done before but what is you favorite Half-Life mod and why.

Personally my favorite is Day of Defeat. Along with liking alll ww2 games the game is realistic, fun and I've played since 1.3 beta :)
 
Ugh no offense but Action was really bad... If you want a mod like it go for the specialists... It, in my opinion, is much better...
 
When i first played them, DoD and CS were amazing, brought me into the world of online gaming (well cs did anyway). More recently, the specialists has been my favourite cos its so fast paced and cool!
 
CS was one of my favourite mods, I don't play it much anymore though.
 
Yea recently Specialists has taken up almost as much time as dod has for me...
 
Atmosphere and attention to detail - They Hunger

Visual quality - poke something or other number

making an old game a bit more interesting - counter-life

Opposing Force - well it was kinda a mod afterall wasn't it

A co-op game where you are on a team with other players online and you fight AI controlled monsters.

good fun, but it doesn't work with steam yet :(
 
The David Blaine mod, where each map you have to find ways to kill him, multiplayer is where one of you is David and you have to go around doing tricks on the street and avoiding people with weapons, single player only has four maps, icepick vs the iceblock, knock him off a pole, hunt the coffin and drop the bugger into the thames.

Rocket Crowbar

Man...I loved the drunk rockets and the scientist-launching shotgun, the crazy nades, the railgun crossbow, flying the apache in killbox....so many fun memories.
 
DoD and NS have been my constant favs. I played alot of CS, but I enjoyed the other two more.
 
i thought NS was crap, some good ideas though (just personal opinion)

CS and DOD were my favortes
 
I think I would have to go for Cs...atleast it's the most addictive IMO.

but other than that I think I like Natural-selection more, just because it's a more original concept. unfortunately I don't have a headset or mic. which is needed for this mod that heavily rely on teamplay.

that's another reason I play cs more...it's easier getting in just taking a quick game, then leave.
 
Opposing force CTF and Opposing force multiplayer they rocked. Oh yea and snark wars but well no servers for that so i couldnt really play it
 
Ever played box wars or snow wars? Now those were terrible....

Yay, someone who plays/played it. I loved that mod, it was so original and fun. Although sometimes playing it i really craved a "proper" gun which fired normal bullets. Still its one of the best.
 
does anyone play Rcoket Crowbar anymore? Because I'd be interested in playing this mod. (Sounds awesome)
