What are your favorite Christmas movies? I've always liked Tum Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Anyone else have some favorite holiday movies? One that reminds you of a past Christmas spent with your family and loved ones?

"christmas story" with peter billingsly (?) is probably my fav christmas movie. my fav winter-feeling (!?) movies would also have to include "edward scissorhands", "smilla's sense of snow", "never cry wolf", "beauty and the beast", "batman", "raise the red lantern".. that's all i can think of right now..

edit: "groundhog day" also

I'd have to say A Christmas Carol, pretty much any version. It's an amazing story and really makes for a great christmas movie. I haven't seen an adaption of it I didn't like yet, and three of them are back on this year woohoo :)

Scrooge with Alistair Sim
Scrooge with Patrick Stewart
Scrooged with Bill Murry
Even that version with him off Eastenders was good
Then there was one the name of which I don't remember, had a woman playing Scrooge, that was a good film too

oh and even the muppets one is fun to watch

Edward Scissorhands, The Garfield Christmas film.. Any Charlie Brown Christmas film :E

A lot of the Christmassy made for TV movies, their always fun to watch. Christmas Vacation. Oh and there's always the classic disaster movies they show around this time of year, those aren't christmassy but lets be honest, whats a christmas without the poseidon adventure and its sequel :)

I'll watch a lot of old films around this time of year too, Laurel and Hardy aswell, I remember as a kid I'd watch films like that with my dad. Infact spent this afternoon watching The Wooden Horse with him. Thats a great old film, lots of familiar faces to spot (for a crusty oldie like me heh)

What!? You haven't seen the Blackadder version? Heresy, heresy I say!
Yup, the Blackadder version of a Christmas Carol has got to be my favourite christmas-film :)

Christmas Vacation and that one with the bb gun "You'll shoot your eye out" thing, I forgot the name. Those are Christmas must's, they are ageless classic's. :)

oh yeah, home alone and a christmas story.... i'd forgotten about those

i like the home alone music too--
*sings home alone tune* "lada dada da da... ladada dadadaadaa" :D ok enough singing for today, hehe

the first time i saw a christmas story was i think two years ago. there was this station that just kept running that, and only that, all day on christmas... i ended up watching it twice in a row i think, since i was bored, didn't have anything else to do lol

I like the movie "The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen. Its just a good Christmas movie that seems to help put me in the Christmas spirit. I've been watching it for years since it came out. I don't watch that many Christmas movies, but that one deserves a little bit of time to watch.

Is that a porno? :p

I liked "scrooged", even though I missed a chunk of the beginning half.
Also, there's that one disney cartoon where donald duck and his nephews have a snowball fight that escalates into WWIII or something. It's awesome. It's the one disney cartoon that was actually cool.

Schindler's List.. oh wait.
Yeah Christmas movie... hmmm, Christ, where did my childhood memories go? Uh, something from Disney, anything. I loved Disney when I was little boy. Lion King, there.

I remember watching the Christmas Story and I thought it was a really depressing movie... I have no idea why.

yeah, A Christmas Carol definitely, any version. Its so classic, I like it a lot. The flintstones one is good too :D

I like 'Love Actually'. I just watched it in the cinema yesterday. A warm Christmas movie.

The capitol gang, and The mcdonalds employee safety and training video.

WTF is up with you guys... I'm not really sure what x-mas movies are my favs, but Die Hard 1&2 is quite close to being favourites.. "Let it snow, let it snow , let it snow.."

i like a good old war film over christmas. where eagles dare, the great escape, kelly's heroes, das boot etc. you're full up with food and you slump into a chair and sit back and relax.

the only fools and horses christmas special is quite decent too, although it gets abit tiresome each year.

What's a Christmas without a James Bond film on sometime? (a long standing tradition here in the uk) So I'm saying Goldfinger, From Russia with love or OHMSS.

that one with the bb gun "You'll shoot your eye out" thing, I forgot the name
mr hollunds opus if i remember correctly. either that or i just made myself sound retarded.

hmm, the christmass movie im looking foreward to teh most is Return of the King.
hey,its a christmas movie when it comes out during christmas, OK?

i dont really like holiday movies(or songs) that much, but charlie brown is of course always enjoyable.

FOTR, TTT, natually become Christmas movies, since we saw them around christmas time.

Yah, by Holiday Movies I meant any movie that naturally belongs and therefore shows up on TV during the holidays.

'It's a Wonderful Life' is also one I watch.

Yup  Well I don't know if it's actually a porno in rl, but Beavis watches it in the Christmas episode of Beavis and Butthead.
