Okay what I wanna know what the best job is you people would want and could get, while taking in to account you education. So if you're not highly educated don't go saying a rocket scientist. But only keep education in mind, don't mind things like money or if there is a opening yet.

What's the job you're aiming for.

Furthermore what job do you have now, and are you still in school/ college. So is this a temporary job or what all your hard work in school/ partying ,doing homework/drinking have gotten you to.

I'm aiming to be an architect, or a mapper or artist for a gamedev.

Currently I'm in highschool and just quit my job(paperboy)

But do you have any backup jobs, something that you're sure you can get if you dream fails, but a job that is still enjoyable. For me it would be something like working in a bakkery, you know it could just be a helping job. Cause I really like the smell, and just beeing in a bakery is enjoyable for me. And I get to eat really tasty food

Writer. Your grandchildren will study my works at school.

Helicopter Pilot in the Royal Air Force, job i am going for now. The job i have now is a jam doughnuts in a supermarket for just above minimum wage.

Pilot, the kind that helps guide ships into ports, or captain of a ship, or film editor or something else.

A coder, the job I'm going for now, then a mapper/ level designer for a cool software company.

I'm not sure mapping's the way to go... take a look at Epic's latest Unreal maps, somehow I doubt 1 person made those. It would've been a team of modelers and other folk.

Anyway, the job I'm aiming for is a graphic designer, designing any number of things like pamphlets, posters, flyers, dvd/game front covers, magazine/catalogue covers, birthday cards, websites etc.

I think professional designers can charge about £600 for a six paged pamphlet + 1000 prints. So if I can do maybe 4 per month which should be easily manageable, i'd be making £2400 a month. That'll do me nicely. Adobe InDesign is my frienddd..d.d.d...

I think I should of done a course in Games design, but I veered into Electronics and Electrical engineering, hopefully in years to come my mate will hire me for concept art as he has seen first hand some of my work.

the man behind a camera for the swedish magazine Slitz would be awsome :D

Yeah its a "soft-porn" magazine =)

I can relate to that, I like to photograph a lot to, especially with my digicam. But I don't know, I've always liked to create something, so gamedev. is more suited.

I work in a bakery and trust me, it is crap. Well, it is one in a super market, a proper one might be much better.

A low level research scientist....looks like I'm nearly a thid of the way there!

I wouldn't mind being a teacher, saves dealing with all this complex science :(

Always so cryptic. :p
Im totally ****ed careerwise. Not a clue what I want to do, or even what I want, I just know I want to pick a job I enjoy, regardless of money. Think Ill just leech off people forever.

I'm qualified to do pretty much any job in IT but I don't fancy doing any job in IT.

I'm like that guy in office space. If doing nothing was a job, it would be my dream job. I've had enough of people saying i'm lazy and i'm wasting my life. I enjoy being lazy and doing nothing. It's what I want to do - therfore i'm living my life the way I want. I would consider doing a boring mindless 9-5 job 'wasting my life' because I would be doing something I didnt want to do. Sure it would be productive, but to what end? To raise some fat cats stock value? Who cares? You only live once, live how you want to live.

QA Manager for a big league video game company, such as Ubisoft or Rockstar Games.

Exactly, better being happy doing what you want to do, then being unhappy and doing what everyone else wants you to do.

Currently in high school having chosen a line of education that focuses on IT.

Deja vu, I'm sure I've seen that exact post, to the word somewhere before.

I want to be something not involving manual labour or 6000 word reports to finish by the end of the week.

The bloke with the gun and a bomb in the "What would you do if" thread

I'm focusing on IT and crap like that... Doing Maths and English at A-level (Not IT, because my school sucks for it), and that can probably get me into a decent university which focuses on Game design. But I'm happy to make mods and games for nothing, so long as I have enough money to sustain myself.

I can't say, and I can't say. In that order.
Aha it's EA isn't it and your scared to say :p, I know I would be ;)
Either way: lucky bastard

Police officer. I get a hard-on whenever I see a cop... or a cop car.

Network administrator I guess, it's what I'm becoming via college now but for some reason I just don't know if I'll end up with a job as one..it'll be IT related regardless but it'll be better than working for an ISP...*wants to go home* ;(
