Favorites list gone

I haven't played CS in maybe a month, and today when I tried to play I noticed that all the servers in my "Favorites" list were gone. I think it is unlikely that in a month all the servers I liked (around 15) suddenly went offline or were shut down. Is it reasonable to assume that Steam somehow erased my list?
