What are your 2 favourite songs, and why?

Mine are
Never Gonna Find Me - The Offspring: I love the beat, I think the guitar is awesome. Lyrics are cool too.

Innocent - Our Lady Peace: So true.

My two favourite songs would have to be:

Two Against Nature - Steely Dan

Originally pretty innocent a closer look at the lyrics shows a darker meaning (like all their tunes).

I've also been enjoying: Come On! Feel The Illinoise! - Part I The World's Columbian Exposition - Part II Carl Sandburg Visits Me In A Dream by Sufjan Stevens recently because of the cool lyrics and catchy beat.

I don't really have favourite songs so much as favourite artists.

I couldn't possibly decide, too much to chose from. But recently, its got to be Jesu - Star for its melodolic and atomospheric sound and The Red In Sophie Loren - Guy Fawkes (Where You at Now?) because its just... well, words cannot describe it. Its like jazz and hardcore blended together with a tint of original emo. Its awesome.

Dear god.

I can't name my two favorites, but two OF my favorites are Pebbles and Marbles, by Phish, and Staring at the Sun, by TV on the Radio.

The Murder Mystery-Velvet Underground. Song is just incredibly insane and random.
Decatur or Round of Applause For Your Stepmother!-Sufjan Stevens. The way the song flows is just beautiful. Makes me think of having a stepmom too...if I ever have one.

...I'm gonna need to go beyond 2.
Poor Places-Wilco. Everytime I hear It's my father's voice dreaming of sailors sailing off in the morning it justs evokes great feelings of nostalgia.
Heroin-Velvet Underground. A song that I think describes me pretty well.
Street Hassle-Lou Reed. Not so much the lyrics, but the music itself is so good.
Neutral Milk Hotel-I don't know a song I haven't loved by them. Jeff Mangum was a genius in my mind.
From the Morning-Nick Drake. Another song that evokes that eerie nostalgia feeling.
Custom Concern-Modest Mouse. Song is so simple, yet so true.
Dead Flag Blues-Godspeed You! Black Emperor. A haunting masterpiece.
Triumph Of Our Tired Eyes-A Silver Mt. Zion. A song that evokes hope for the future and is why I love it.

I haven't really given a lot of thought to this lately. Right now, I suppose, my favorite two songs are:

Nine Inch Nails - Somewhat Damaged
Radiohead - Airbag

DO NOT let this go beyond two songs, then we'll just start naming off lists of 100-odd songs that we all like-ish.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I can't decide. But keep in mind it'd be two NIN songs.

<.<

At the moment..
jose amnesia vs serp - second day (martin roth remix)
ron van den beuken - endless

ceefax acid krew - love theme from grey marl industries

the orb - a huge evergrowing pulsating brain that rules from the centre of the ultraworld

Falkenbach - Havamal
Fear Factory - Pisschrist

That is a great track, as well as one of the most awesome names ever.

Oh damn, maybe if we were picking two artists / bands but two songs?! That's pretty evil, it's like asking to pick which two kids you'd save if you had 4.

My 2 favorites:

1. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
2. Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

These two songs just never get old for me.

I've gotta get a message to you- Bee Gees
Youth of the nation- P.O.D

Pisschrist is a really, really good song (especially that ending, very powerful). It took me a while to figure out whether I liked that or Zero Signal better.

Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
Hellacopters - Better than You

Well I just named my favorite songs. I listen to those songs at least once a day. So if anyone starts doing 100-odd songs, don't blame me :p

Radiohead - Airbag
One of my favorite songs of all time also.

When he sings "in an interstellar buuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrst, i am back to save the uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuniiiiiverseeeee", it's just amazing.

I prefer Zero Signal to Pisschrist.

EDIT: Whoops, I had the reply box open to reply to when Zues was talking about Fear Factory but then I left my computer, and now that I'm back the conversation has moved on.
