I'm sure there are at least a few Yu-Gi-Oh! fans on this site, so what was your favourite duel in that show? Mine was Yugi V Kiba in the Battle City semi-finals.

I would make fun of you if I wasn't a Pokemon fanatic as a kid.

also, *duel not dual

Pegasus and Seto. **** all of you dumbass crackers I used to watch this show. Monster designs are ****ing awesome.

We're drunk! You guys don't have an excuse!

I remember several years ago when I was maybe 15 and well out of the Pokemon / card game craze, a little kid I had never seen before in my neighborhood came up to me and timidly challenged me to a Yu Gi Oh duel, I about shit myself laughing.

I would have gotten cards if I had had the money. It was way better than the Pok?mon trading card game.

Pokemon (including the cards, games, tv show) > > > > YuGayOh :arms:

Yu-Gi-Oh show > Pokemon show
Yu-Gi-Oh cards > Poekemon cards
Pokemon games > Yu-Gi-Oh games

Edit: BTW, Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is the best card ever.

There's Blue Eyes White Dragon, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Blue Eyes Shining Dragon and one or two others.

Blue Eyes White Dragon is just a damn powerful dragon.
Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon is really powerful three-headed dragon that's a fusion of three Blue Eyes White Dragons.
Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is a Blue Eyes White Dragon that is not affected by magic cards, trap cards, or monster card effects. It can only be summoned by sacraficing a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

Riomhaire, you bastard.

Yugioh Abridged is the only way to go.

My favorite was the one where Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon all entered the arena in a three way battle to the death, and they were all crushed by my judgmental gaze.

Even as an anime fanatic I am still freaked out here

Oh yes High five! :D

I used to watch it whit my brother who was a big fan,one thing I liked is that if you know the rules of the game the duels where interesting

I liked a part where this yugi what ever was fighting against some dude that used I think it was a ilegal card that blocked the enemy in some way and in everyturn the enemy have to discharge half of his cards and since in the game if you are out of cards in your hands you lose so yugi was dowright ****ed ,but what yugi did was to keep one card on his hand and since there was no half cards to discharge then that ilegal was deactivated and destroyed and yugi won

cuz some tactics are like well done for example when fighting against the one who had that super red dragon card that is stronger acording to the number of cards in the user hands, and the user some used card that allowed him to have more that the limit of five and can take how many cards he wants so the red dragon was very powerfull

Did you accept?

"Sir, I demand satisfaction!"

I about shit myself laughing at the image of Ennui slapping some kid across the face with a glove and then pulling out a pack of cards.

I really like Pokemon growing up and am not ashamed to admit it. But Yugibleh sucked. BALLS.

There was a Yu-Gi-Oh movie released in Japan, just called Yu-Gi-Oh!, that had an awesome battle between Yugi and Kaiba. The movie's about this kid named Shogo who is a terrible duelist, but one day he pulls a Red Eyes Black Dragon and because of that, he chooses to think that because he has this card he doesn't have to duel anyone, that he's good just because he has the card. (But in reality, he's still just scared he's going to lose even with a powerful card)

And then Kaiba's henchmen come and try to steal the card, and they beat up Joey (Jounouchi) when he tries to protect Shogo.

So later, Kaiba hosts his own tournament and it comes down to him and Yugi, and he chains together his three Blue Eyes so they're a 9000atk monster, and he forces Yugi into defense. But then he plays a card that switches all defensive cards to offense, and he's about to finish Yugi off, but then Yugi notices one of his cards has blood on it, and realizes it's Joey's blood--which means he's holding Shogo's Red Eyes Black Dragon. But he doesn't want to play it unless Shogo has the will to duel, even if he's afraid he might lose, so he just waits...

and then Shogo stands up in the crowd and he screams, "ATTACK, MY RED EYES BLACK DRAGON!"

And Yugi plays the card and fuses it with Meteor Dragon, and Kaiba's like, "Impossible! There can be no such card!" And Yugi beats 3 Blue Eyes. And at the end Kaiba says, "Yugi...you're the only duelist I approve of."

It was awesome.

Wow. . . just wow. . ..

really?

The side story manga Yu-Gi-Oh! R is also not entirely immune. When Yakou Tenma shows up for the first time and challenges Yugi to a Duel, Yugi pulls out Saint Dragon - The God of Osiris and it seems the duel is over. Yakou responds with his own trump card, The Devil's Avatar, which turns into a doppleganger of Osiris and takes it - and Yugi - out in one hit. Interestingly enough, the card text on Avatar is missing, and for good reason: when we finally see it later, we learn that the above scenario would have been impossible. Avatar's ATK and DEF become equal to the ATK of the strongest monster on the field plus one (not too dissimilar from the real-life card, which adds 100 instead): if this were the case, Avatar's attack would still have left Yugi with 3999 out of 4000 Life Points remaining. Hardly an instant victory.

[The aforementioned monster throw. To go into more detail, Yami/Yugi has his dragon-riding medieval knight with twin lances get launched by a literal Catapult Turtle into a flying castle. This destroys the castle's levitation ring, causing it to fall slowly, yet not break the force-field around it, crushing all of the monsters inside, and randomly dealing enough Life Point damage to win the game. I Am Not Making This Up.[ /QUOTE]

Using a huge monster (Giant Soldier of Stone) to strike the moon, which was not a monster but an image of a magic card that alters the battlefield... this caused the tide to go out even farther than it was when there wasn't a moon at all, beaching the opponent's sea monsters.

dear god i would give my right arm to write something that horribly awesome.

oh and Digimon > Pokemon > Yu-Gi-Oh

fact.

I have several friends who collected the cards (I didn't for lack of money) and none of them are weeaboos.

I liked the ones where they put the cards on the table and REAL MONSTERS came outs!

I never played and don't know much about it. What I do know is that my sister claims that "Yu-Gi-Oh: Pyramid Of Light" is one of the worst films she's ever seen.
Which isn't encouraging.

All I remember from when I wathced the show when I was young was that I didn't like it but I do love yu-gi-oh the abridged series :D
