Concerned about an increase in violence on television, the Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday urged lawmakers to consider regulations that would restrict violent programs to late evening, when most children would not be watching.
The commission, in a long-awaited report, concluded that the program ratings system and technology intended to help parents block offensive programs ? like the V-chip ? had failed to protect children from being regularly exposed to violence. [geez who's fault is that? the parents? god no :upstare: ]
As a result, the commission recommended that Congress move to limit violence on entertainment programs by giving the agency the authority to define such content and restrict it to late evening television.

well at least they cant be called prejudiced: nipples are a no no but severed heads are a-ok: not so anymore ..but this doesnt sit well that a committee of "concerned idiots" feel they can regulate what you can and cant watch ..well at least they're taking baby steps and pushing violent content to late night tv when not a single minor is awake :upstare: ...so if they argue that it's appropriate to move it to late night when minors are asleep why do they continue censoring nudity/swearing? no kids are awake late night ..right? oh ok so even adults shouldnt see nudity ...soon they'll be asking for women to not go out without their veils ...oh wait
