A lot more focus on melody this time around; though it does feel a little flat in places. I seem to have an unmastered studio rip however, so I guess I shouldn't be forming any real opinion at this point. Some stand out tracks: Supernova and I Will Follow (both of which actually reminded me of lostprophets, though a more apt comparison would be Dog Day Sunrise), Echo of my Scream (great ambient track in the middle of the album), 540,000 Degrees Farenheit (Obsolete-era FF), and Moment of Impact (just pure FF, though an odd choice for closer).

Fear factory doth rock hard, as long as ray is still on drums, thats all they'll ever need :) must check this out, is it in stores yet?

Fear Factory owns your souls.

Archetype's probably their best album to come out since Digimortal.

Transgression does kick ass from some of the songs that I...ahem...acquired.

Everything Kage said hit the nail on the head.

Well yeah, they didn't release any proper albums between them. :p

woot big fan of FF here..time to go buy this....

I always thought Obsolete was the best album. Then Demanufacture with Concrete/Soul of a New Machine (their practically the same, so yeah) third.

I never got into Archetype much. Drones, Slave Labour and Coparate Clong are excellent, yes, but the rest I wasn't that keen on.

I have 54,000 Degrees... and Moment of Impact from the new album, a freind sent them me. I like 54, 000... alot, Moment of Impact is okay. I may just borrow the new album, I've heard bad things about it from some people that download. Eh.

They best tour back over here again. Last December was awesome dispite a short set, no Pisschrist and not being able to meet Burton or Christian. Met Byron, though, had a good chat about Strapping Young Lad and Ray, too. He told me his gamertag for X-Box Live but I've gone forgotten about it. Would help if I had Live, anyway.

Booyah, UK tour dates are up. All I know of at the moment is Birmingham, 20th January. I haven't looked at the rest.

I just got this album....it is really good..

listening to "supernova" atm...

Seems like I only like one FF song, that's a remake of an older song, "Cars" by Gary Neuman. This song owns so much... just the repetitivness of the guitar though the whole song... so awesome.

The rest of they're stuff sounds "SOAD"-ish to me.
"AHGAHGAGHAGRGARHARAGHRGAGRAGHRAGHGHAGAGHAGHAGH...AGHAGHAGH!" in the mic for 3 minutes, which I think is shit.

Hmm, you've just told me that the vocals sound somewhat alike, as are the instuments them play...
