anyways, the riaa has issued over 800 sepeanas (however you spell it). the great thing about those is that you don't HAVE to go to court, you have to sign a sheet of paper agreeing that you will come.

funny thing is, the government doesn't care how they get your signature. i thought they only did this in movies, but they hire people to do stuff like show up at your door, say 'hey you won the lottery! sign here!' and then you sign and they say 'you have been served' and then you have to show up. my dad's friend does it for a living.

True. All the temps at my job were served subpeonas in a lawsuit. I was one of them, but because my job sent me out in the field everyday, the server didn't find me and I was never served to appear in court.
