Feb 24th patch broke CS for me

Game worked fine yesterday until I downloaded patch. After the patch, I cannot join any server. I crash to main menu and I get the following message in console:



Host_Error: CMapLoadHelper::Init, map models/player/cs_player_shared.mdl has wrong identifier

Any ideas? I did nothing but simply download and install the patch.

this has been posted many times you should use the search option on the top of your screen, but from what i've heard the crashes are due to some servers not being updated with the new patch yet after they update your problem should be fixed

Thanks but I did use the search feature. If you look, this has NOT been posted. The Feb 24 patch did this...the game worked fine until I downloaded it.

And I find this hard to believe when I try joining a server that is running compound or train, as they were released with the patch.

The game flat out doesn't work for ANY server; I already thought about the possibility of it not being patched.

I have had to download a ton of shit the last day since I haven't played this since December, and SOMETHING breaks everytime a patch runs.
