Hi guys,

it's really nice.

there are a couple of very minor things that could be improved:

1) the lowest god-ray comes in at a different angle than the rest....assuming it's the sun shining it should be at the same angle as the others...it might be an optical thing but it also seems crooked.

2) there's some convergent lines and clutter going on with the trash behind the bipod...I'd suggest moving them into the foreground(on the other side of the rifle...gives better depth)

3) the middle part of the magazine is too close in colour with the background.

4) I would remove the green tint-ray leading from the scope to the face...I'm pretty sure no such thing would be visible.

5) try putting some slightly blurred objects in the foreground for better depth.

other than that very nice job.

That looks awesome. I like the concept and the composition a lot. I agree with Prince about moving the clutter to the foreground. The character should have some darker shading on her as well, anywhere there isnt direct light should be a bit darker I think, such as on her back, and her armpit. I think her left shoe should also be getting some of that sunlight, since her right leg is getting a lot and I doubt her foot would be entirely in its shadow.

I think on the thing she is sitting on, if there were some of that trash actually in the sunlight area casting shadows it would add a bit to it as well. Also, I like the green coming from her scope. It may not be realistic, but I think it makes it more interesting.

Do you have an online portfolio?

Sweet!

Girl with a gun is always a winner combo. Very nice work on the lighting, to my eye.

Nice drawing, although having both hands on the handle doesn't seem like the most stable way to hold the gun, but then again I've not got much experience with firearms.

It's the question of what to do with your hands. When you're at a party... what to you do with your hands? Put them in your pockets of course.

When you're ready to assassinate someone, what do you do with your spare hand? Put it on your gun as well.

Besides, there's the bipod and shoulder stability as well.

Make feet bigger (should match head's size).

Really love it, like how cramped up and tense she looks.

Wow, nice peice. Reminds me of the TF2 sniper :D

Doesn't need much work imo.

It's awesome. Doesn't look like the most comfortable and efficient sniping position, but that aside, the art is great. I wish I could draw and post-process like that.

Looks kickass. I was about to trash your mod after reading its ModDB profile, until I saw the part that said "singleplayer only". Hell yes, it's about time someone made a kickass single-player total conversion.

i like the darkness of it with the light beams. it gives it real nice effect. keep it up. green is a great colour for dark places

Oh, hey. Did you ever finish that Lt. Ripley sculpt?

Needs less shirt.
Kidding, very nice.

I guess I always figured that if a sniper is that relaxed looking (the sitting posture, not her intent gaze into the scope), that they'd be aiming downward, from a high perch where they could see more area.

Maybe shes looking through the windows of another building? That was my first thought anyways.

Was also thinking she doesn't look Chinese enough. :P

Great image, looks like she's tense and bored.

Great pic, but shouldnt the barrel of the rifle be longer? Unless she's sniping people that are 20 feet away?

Hey! Thanks for the great feedback, very usefull!

Yeah i still have to finalize the lighting.
Some godrays still have to be adjusted, also ill be adding some extra junk to the foreground to, like you say, add more depth to the picture.

At the moment I dont have an online portfolio, its something ill be working on somewere in the next couple of months, ill update you guys once it's up. : )

First they were slightly bigger, but it looked wrong... and manly. But measuring foot size to head size is a good tip!

Hahaha : D, thanks and yes, there arent enough total conversion singleplayers out there...

Still working on it from time to time, she still needs ears and hair. Ill post some WIPs soon.

Or she's on the groundfloor ; D

She isnt Chinese.

Haha, yeah probably, but i kind of like the rifle like that.
The short barrel makes it look tactical and made for urban use in my opinion.

Anyways, keep that feedback coming!
As soon as im back at work ill try and incorporate all the feedback given! Once again, thanks guys!

You do personal work while at your job? Yay! High five for doing the same thing as me!

I personally prefer the clean version (it focuses more on character, rather than environment she's in).

I like the newer one in terms of the clutter. I really like the box sitting in the sunlight. However I think the shading still needs to be darker on the back of the character, and some shadows in general need to be darker. You've got some really dark shadows in the foreground elements, but nowhere else.

I personally don't like trash on left. It's killing the perspective line, and deepness. Ammo box is also blocking her back view. Like I said in my previous post, you should focus more on character.

ah, again, great feedback.
I'll adjust it.

Wow that's awesome, looks very professional. But I agree, give her sunglasses ;)

She has enough clothing on her body already. Plus, glasses would block her face.

Another interesting thing is: it shows how old meets new. It's like City 17, you know. You arrive to a century old city, and see it's getting smashed (or, under pressure) by alien architecture. In the image girl looks very simple, and clean (pure), while rifle, is showing evil side of human nature (it's also a symbol of technology).

tl;dr: keep girl simple.
